DAY 19: WORRY- Thank You Eugene Vet Center Wellness Group: "Seek First The Kingdom of Heaven" …

Good evening … Great is His faithfulness …

THE CHOSEN 40 DAYS WITH JESUS - REFLECTIONS AND DEVOTIONAL …

The Introduction is for the Wellness Group at the Eugene Vet Center - Thank you Eugene Vet Center and the Wellness Group for having me today … It's truly a pleasure to serve you all the true definition to minister is to serve someone's else's will … My name is Jared W. Campbell, a US Army Veteran, and veteran of the Iraq conflict, and like many of you I suffer from anxiety and tonight's reflection is focused on both worry and anxiety, I hope tonight' s lesson helps many of you to truly find your way and all your endeavors …

DAY 19: WORRY

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

(Matthew 6:33-34)

The Kingdom of God: Is the central theme and point to Yeshuas' – (Jesus’)- teachings and His righteousness is and was the subject of the Sermon on the Mount: Calling us to set ourselves free from anxiety about all our earthly things, instead Yeshua – (Jesus)- teaches us and directs us to seek Him, His, Father in heaven above all else!!! We must be secure and steadfast in our faith that the Lord will provide our earthly blessings!!! I'm also witnessing to the fact that Great His Faithfulness to us all!!!

- Jesus said by seeking the Father first making Him our focal point of focus, and by doing this all the things we need will be provided for us, because like Jesus said the Father knows all our needs because He knows our true hearts … By seeking Him, our Father heaven than no need to worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will take care if itself if you have the Lord in your corner …

1: Do you struggle with anxiety??? What things do you tend to worry about the most and why???

Yes, I struggle with anxiety, like many of you and I’m speaking towards the Vet center Wellness Group, PTSD has been my biggest adversary to go against other than fighting the spiritual warfare that comes from the evil one … My biggest worries are the fear of REJECTION and FAILING not only myself, but God and all of you … I’m a passionate man and all I do, and sometimes that can be my own downfall like a weakness … I have learned to overcome these worries and fears through the power of prayer, believe when I say PTSD is a spiritual war, and I had no power to fight it when I was fighting alone … When I discovered my true faith, and opened the Bible and put to action all of Jesus’ teachings, I became enlighten and now have a hunger to help all who suffered like I have suffered … I suffer no more in Christ, I’m free and I’m grateful to be forgiven and cleansed … “My faith has made me well” …

2: Jesus used an everyday occasion to reveal His glory … Describe a common event in your life through He revealed His glory and increased your faith …

The event is the one I talk about the most … The time I went for a walk with my Bible in hand and I doubt my wallet was one me at that time, because I’m learning to let the Father take care me and provide for me the way He promises in the Bible … A lady gave me ride and I had no idea that this ride would be a ride that would not only change the faith of an older woman, but was a ride that strengthen mine when I was down …

3: Do you ask for Jesus’ help with the seemingly small stuff??? Why or why not???

Absolutely all the time my friends and my brothers and sisters in Christ … Nothing is too small to get help from Him, He is the One Who fixes everything, Christ is the HEALER, THE FIXER AND THE PROTECTOR … He loves us when we don’t love ourselves, He is always there for us, but always remember there is no faith without struggle …

Prayer Focus:

Ask God to right- size your fears and expectations so that you can see struggles as He sees them – opportunities …

PSALM 54 (55): Part of this evening’s Prayer Focus …

Numbers 6:24-26:

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

In Christ love Jared W Campbell
