DAY 18: EMMAUNEL - The Chosen 40 Days with Jesus - "God is With Us" ...
Good evening … Great is His faithfulness …
DAY 18: EMMAUNEL - "God is With Us" …
6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification o
f the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10 And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”
11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and [a]manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
John 2:6-11
- WATERPOTS were made OF STONE, according to rabbinical teachings a stone would not contract ritual impurity … SIX of them – (one less than the perfect seven) is indicating the Law, and so is illustrating water as being reserved for Jewish PURIFICATION, was incomplete, imperfect, and so unable to bestow or give life … The water is changed into wine, showing us that the old covenant is being fulfilled in the new, which that is capable of bestowing life … The overabundant GALLONS of wine illustrate the overflowing grace Christ grants to all who choose to seek Him and His awesome greatness …
“I forgot to mention in tonight’s video, and I deeply apologize it’s been a long day, the number 6 means falling away or falling short of the glory of God, basically it’s imperfection and is shy of the 7 which is completeness and fullness – I have a blessed evening in Christ love Jared …
(v. 9): is prefiguring the transformation of the bread and the wine into the Eucharist the Body and Blood of Christ …
1: At this moment, what circumstances are most difficult for you??? I’m struggling with a great deal as of now… There are moments I want to wave the white flag and ask for a cease fire, but would that teach me anything no excuses never do … Being in Christ we get the all the peace and self- control we need, and that’s why it’s imperative to continue to seek the scriptures, and ask Your Father in Heaven for help and give it all to Him … My struggles keep me honest, and I love this evening reflections they give me a chance to be just me, open and honest, and this helps me when I’m also helping all of you … My battles are of this world but are also spiritual nothing is physical, I know what I’m up against, so I always continue to pray for this fallen world, and for all the wicked who dwell in it, I pray they all find God’s peace …
2: How should knowing that God is with you affect the way you respond to your circumstances??? This is a great question, because I use prayer as my war room with God, I use the Lord to fight my spiritual battles … He has made me better at how I respond to others instead of going off, I tend to quickly reflect and use His Wisdom to respond, but sometimes the Lord instructs not to respond, that sometimes prayer alone is enough, He will handle it … That’s what true faith is knowing He has it …
3: Just as the servants at the wedding had to draw water before they saw the water turn into wine, what are ways you can step out in faith because of His promise to be with you??? It’s what you see right now before you all, He is always with me no matter what, He helps my social anxiety, so I can teach others His truth and His true Words …
