DAY 13: AUTHORITY: The Chosen 40 Days with Jesus

Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths … And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority …

AUTHORITY OR POWER IN GREEK: ἐξουσία exousía, ex-oo-see'-ah; from G1832 (in the sense of ability); privilege, i.e. (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (objectively) mastery (concretely, magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence:—authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength.

Moving Forward

1: Is there an area in your life where you’re denying Christ’s authority??? This is a difficult question because I’m trying to figure out if is talking about before or after my transformation … When I accepted the call to be teacher of His ways, I have since than answered the call … I have learned to deny my own self will as well as my own authority, and only accept His authority and will … I think if you hesitate to share what He’s putting on your heart that could been seen as denying His authority … I have learned to deliver all His messages regardless on how they will be received, He is the One Who controls it all including outside space and time …

2: In what ways does His authority bring peace and comfort to your circumstances??? This one is hard to explain, because Jesus is a mystery and is the power of the Undivided Trinity, it’s all a mystery … I read the other day that a scientist was saying how extraordinary the mysteries of the human body were to him … My thought is this it makes sense we are created in our Creator’s Image, and He is a complete mystery so of course we as well would also have mysteries that can boggle even scientists as well as doctors … I have complete comfort is all I can say, I have less stress, less anger, more self-control, and compassion for others … Just like Christ, I believe real heroism is found in mercy even in victory …

3: What’s your plan for how to submit more fully to Christ’s authority??? Continue the path I’m on because I know it’s narrow, and I also know none of us our fully immune from not falling away from Christ … I know we are in a spiritual fight a spiritual war, and we all have two options we can spend eternity in the dark or eternity in the life … Serving Christ is a free will choice – He paved way for all salvation those who chose to work it and fully trust in His Grace …

Thank God that He’s in control and you’re not, repent of areas in your life that aren’t under His authority, and ask Him for help in submitting …
