Shalom,
Good Wednesday Morning, I pray all is well: Today’s readings and reflections will come from Psalm 125:1-5, Psalm 126:1-6, Psalm 127:1-5, Psalm 128:1-6 and Psalm 129:1-8: God is great in many ways and so today let’s continue our praise for the victories he has claimed in our lives.
Psalm 125: 1-5-The Safety of Those Who Trust God: Psalm 125:4-5, Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel. “Today Lord I pray you give us the strength to trust in you, I pray you give us a peace of mind throughout our daily endeavors. I continue to ask you to fill our hearts with peace and the courage to do the right things and not the wrong things. Lastly, Lord, give us the courage to continue putting our full faith in trust in your word, and guide us so we can seek safety under your guidance. - in Jesus name Amen!”
Psalm 126:1-6: The Lord Has Done Great Things- Psalm 126:5-6-They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. God has done wonderful things for Israel and the proof is in the pudding, and Israel is truly blessed by God. God never broke the covenant outlined in Genesis 12 God Calls Abram; Blesses him with a promise of a Christ: Genesis 22, Abraham gives proof of faith and obedience to God: “Today Lord I pray you give me the courage to be obedient in your word just like Abraham. I pray you continue to help me grow in your presence so I can walk with your grace with full humility of others; Father I continue to ask you to guide me in serving others and their needs before the needs of my own. It’s only in your name that good things happen, and with that we are blessed by your grace. In Jesus Name I pray- Amen!
Psalm 127:1-5: The Virtue of God’s Blessing: Psalm 127:1- Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the WATCHMAN waketh but in vain. “Father, I pray you give me the strength to continue being a watchman for your return. I pray you continue to give me the courage to speak the truth when the words come to me. Have mercy on me as a watchman and continue to give me wisdom to speak the truth. Give me the courage to stand up to my spiritual enemies that I do nothing but good in your name, and in Jesus Name I pray Amen!"
Psalm 128:1-6: Blessings for Those Who Fear God: The only thing I FEAR is God because I fear not having eternal life. My entire life I was only living to live but the day the LORD called on me it was clear he had something in mind. Sometimes we are called for a bigger purpose and sometimes his callings can be confusing at first. It may feel as if we are missing the entire picture at times, but the truth is he’s leading us the right way if we are engaged with him in a personal relationship. It’s clear on my end that if I continue to follow him and fear him the blessings will continue to pour in. "LORD as I read this passage I pray you continue to bless my family and my friends in their lives. Help them to seek truth and wisdom, and set them free of evil doings and deceptions in their daily lives; LORD I will continue to love you as well as fear you! I know the true you and you are the way and the light, darkness will never overcome it! I pray in Jesus' name- Amen!"
Psalm 129:1-8: Praise God for Deliverance from Affliction: Psalm 129:4- The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. What God has joined together should never be undone; let no person pull apart what God has joined together in his eyes. Israel is the ultimate example of what God has joined together with a promised covenant, and things are heating up in the Gaza Strip. I have this feeling the world will soon see the full strength of God, and his promises. Make no mistake, the wicked have no clue the full power of God, but the sheep will remain lost; even though the truth is staring them in the face. Our marriages are another example of the greatness of God, joining you with your lifetime partners. Mark 10:9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. We need to have strength in our relationships to overcome such afflictions, but without God we are doomed to succeed. Ephesians 5:25- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her. This is one of my favorite verses because it’s so true, I love Heather so much that it’s my duty to not only love her unconditionally; but sacrifice my very life for hers. “Father, today gives me the strength to continue loving Heather unconditionally. Father, I pray you help me in all of my relationships whether they are personal or professional. Give me the courage to be understanding and empathy to all who are in need of my love and guidance. Furthermore, Father, help me to recognize my faults and my own biases before engaging in discussion over topics; that can be difficult for most of us. In closing, Father, please continue to help me to be not only a better husband, but a better father to my children and a better friend to all my friends. I pray in Jesus' name Amen!”
This concludes today’s readings and reflections, and I continue to pray all is well. I think the message of the day is the small victories we have in CHRIST;but we must remain humble walking in his grace. For me it’s imperative while I’m walking with God that I listen to his voice and feelings he leaves on my heart; so I’m not led astray! I must continue to speak the truth, and bring forth the messages of purity!
